Woman In Business Series - Part 4 Bethany Wright

We have only known Bethany for a few months now, we began chatting over on Instagram and soon realised we had similar goals with our businesses. Bethany is inspiring and such a motivator, it only felt right to interview her for the 'Women In Business Series'.

We asked Bethany about what inspires her, her business goals and of course, what her advice would be for anyone starting their own business.

Can you tell us a little bit about you and what you do?

I’m Bethany, a 26 year old Northern lass that launched her female-oriented coaching (and soon-to-be e-commerce) brand, Her Empowerment Room, last year during the pandemic.

How do you help people?

My signature 1:1 coaching program, The Glow Initiative, helps women to get clear on what they really want, what’s holding them back and how they can make it happen – realising their full potential and walking their talk with full embodiment.

I am also launching a new package this year which is designed for female entrepreneurs that want to master their mindset as a worthy career-focused woman and turn their big idea into a long-lasting legacy. I’m so excited about the launch of this as it will combine my 5 years’ experience of marketing and PR to empower my clients to  break through the blind spots of branding so they can give their business the same love as they give to themselves and see things through with clarity and confidence.

It’s all about walking your talk!

Where do you get your inspiration from? Is there anyone, in particular, who inspires you?

Whenever I see a woman smashing it, I am inspired! I genuinely want the best for everyone and love seeing ambitious women making their dreams a reality – it lights me up.

And this all stems from my passion; my mission of empowering women to create a fulfilling life and career she loves. We do not need permission to take centre stage in our own lives.

Community is also a major energiser!

What are your daily rituals?

I get up at around 6:30am on weekdays to work out – morning movement is important to me! This is often followed by a coffee in silence on the sofa, before catching up on some biz admin and journaling.

I work a high level marketing job alongside my business so I love kickstarting my day in this way as it gives me the chance to grab a couple of hours to be productive before diving into the 9-5.

What are your business goals?

There are so many ideas I have for the future of my business! I’d love to position Her Empowerment Room as the go-to empowerment hub for the woman who wants more. And take it to an international level!

This year saw the launch of my first ever group coaching program and it has been so incredible – it’s become a true sisterhood – so it’s got me thinking about creating an academy where I can bring together likeminded women. Watch this space!

What do you do to relax and switch off?

I love closing my laptop, lighting the candles and losing myself in the pages of a book.

Music always helps too – especially when I’m in a funk. It’s just so good for the soul!

I’m also a massive fan of having a soak in the tub and getting tucked up in bed to watch your fav tv series/ films.

How do you practice self-care?

I treat self-care like a Pick n Mix, prescribing myself an activity or strategy from my very own checklist based on how I’m feeling or what I need that day. However, one of my non-negotiables is pausing each day to connect and just be.

Do you have a favourite quote? Or mantra?

One of favourite ever quotes is actually something that my Nanna once said to me: “Put some lipstick on and brave the world.”

Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to start their own business?

Why not you? If you have that niggle, explore it. Take the leap and begin your adventure!

Make sure it’s something you’re passionate about, be authentic and remember that consistency is key.

If you struggle with the “how”, don’t be afraid to reach out to people you admire – the majority of people are willing to support and lend some advice. Coaches and mentors can help guide you in getting your vision off the ground too.

It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
