Woman In Business Series - Part 3 Hayley Grocott
The beauty industry has been hit hard in the last 12 months, but it’s incredible to see amazing women (and men) within the industry, power through and Hayley Grocott, owner of FSOB is no exception.
Amongst cancelling and rearranging her clients for the 3rd + time, due to Covid 19 restrictions, Hayley, kindly took the time to answer some questions for us.
Can you tell us a little bit about you and what you do?
I’m a dedicated, experienced brow artist specialising in brow art and cosmetic brow/freckle tattooing located in the heart of Chesterfield, UK.
How do you help people?
I offer a 5 star luxury service, which is life changing to my clients in so many ways. I can give my clients so much confidence. Saving time in the mornings, saving them money in the long run, changing their appearance - the right brows, in the right place can change everything!
Where do you get your inspiration from? Is there anyone in particular who inspires you?
I genuinely think that the passion for what I do is inspiring me. I just LOVE what I do. I want to keep learning and growing so I guess you can say the inspiration comes from deep within. However, all my fellow business bosses and followers online continue to inspire me every day. The powerful comments, kind words... everything makes me want to continue to push further.
How do you plan your day?
Lots of coffee! Clean body, clean mind! Clean house, clean mind! I have To-Do lists galore! I’m not a really really organised person... I can be, but working alone it can be really tough to keep on top of everything. I try to take each day as it comes and not put too much pressure on myself.
What are your daily rituals?
I don’t really have any rituals. Like I said, I take each day as it comes and depending on how I feel, that’s how the day goes! I’m currently focusing on self care, now that I’m in Lockdown 3 I’m taking this time to plan, organise and look after myself. I find once I feel good, everything flows well, including my business!
What are your business goals?
All I want to do in life is make people happy. So I just want to do brows.. forever. I cant see my life any other way. I don’t want to be a millionaire... I just want to be known for what I do and live a comfortable life.
What do you do to relax and switch off?
I like to have occasional pamper nights, however before lockdown I loved an occasional spa day! It’s great to switch off from social media and switch off
every once in a while. But, I try and see family and friends, when I can, as this is everything to me (Apart from FSOB).
How do you practice self-care?
I’m still currently trying to work out how to practice it! I put all my time and energy into my business and usually forget myself! I like having my hair done, it makes me feel better! But self-care is still something I’m working on!

Yes! "Pleasure in the job, puts perfection in the work”
Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to start their own business?
If you ever get the chance to be self employed, do it. You won’t regret it. There are highs and most definitely lows. But if you put dedication, hard work and passion into it, your business will look after you.
